Talented College Athlete Who Struggled and Then Achieved

I love stories about talented dyslexics who faced large challenges, but found a way, through very hard work, to achieve. Here is the story of a very promising football player who faced some academic roadblocks in college and who, with the help of his brother, was able to not only bring up his grades, but also give back to the community.

A Dyslexic Teen wins National Academic Award

Megan Diffey, a dyslexic teen, has just received a national award for exceptional students. What I really liked about this article is that while it speaks to the challenges she has faced, it also focuses on her determination to succeed. What also stands out is Megan's understanding of her abilities-- too often students know they are struggling, but do not develop a true understanding of their strengths and weaknesses and how to use them.
